Charleville-Mezieres is rich in architectural and cultural heritage and offers a number of sites and activities for your visit. Ducale Square, less than 7km from the Campanile Charleville-Mezieres Hotel, is a great place to start. Built in the 17th century, the Square is the focal point of the town, and houses many of its famous sites, such as the Ardenne Museum. The museum contains collections reflecting regional culture and history, including artefacts of the slate industry and royal munitions factories, as well as coin and puppet collections. The town also has many green spaces, including the Pierquin Park, Old Mill Island and the Garot Pond Arboretum.
